If you have a:

Deadly (500%) + Throttle (50%) shotgun with

100% weapon exp (10%)

10 merits in shotgun mastery (10%)

Max damage from faction (10%)

Gun Shop perk (10%)

Property damage boost (2%)

Education damage boost (1%)

Education throat boost (10%)

Eviscerate (20%)

I'm probably missing some, but you get the idea. How does this work? If I remember correctly Eviscerate works differently from the normal damage boost so would it be adding everything up that isn't eviscerate then multiplying by 1.2?

Yeah that whole eviscerate myth is why I think the value is crazy inflated. I mean it's still a good to decent bonus, but at some point it was regarded as the best melee and potentially even best in the game.

The reason evis is good is you can have someone who could otherwise only do 1 point of damage use it as an assist in your fight, and you get a free 15%+ damage. That person isn't doing much else besides adding distraction, so why not? It's not a very good bonus on your OWN weapons if you are the kind of fighter that has a high end primary you'd be losing a turn of to apply evis though.
