Minus the slavery bit, you do kinda have to agree that lowering the working age and removing some protections kind of undermines one of the main motivations for removing illegals in the first place

Yeah I'm not a fan of any child working a real job under the age of 16 or so.

The thing that makes this situation unique is that the one primary reason for deporting illegals is that it reduces the labor supply and thus raises the cost of labor, helping out workers. By then going in and reducing your minimum working age and reducing restrictions, you're increasing the labor supply and diminishing wages as a result, so....

The children need permission to work I kinda doubt there will be a mass rush to work more hours by all of the 16 and 17 year olds , except for maybe the ones that have left school or homeless , or the families are desperate and need the work .

If they're under 18, then the state should help take care of them if they leave school, are homeless, or the families are desperate.

For some reason I don't see a unending supply of money and homes and resources given how broke most countries and states are these days.

I mean, the federal gov has all the usd it will ever need, so...

The feds could obviously just give grants to states that cover the cost of these sorts of programs and then we don't habe to worry about any gov being too broke

Having kids work is probably a good thing it helps create teamwork instead of turning into school shooters and bullies. No one eats coconuts, oranges or alligators anyways.
