Flight time is a part of the game; sometimes, it gets boring if you want to play it and have spare time.
Why don't developers allow players to play some online games, eg poker or something else, during this time?
It might make the game more attractive.

Go touch grass, read a book, go to work/school, or have a wank instead

That's why overseas plushies and flowers have value - you are paying for someone else's boredom, buying the pain someone else went through.
The activity during flying is trolling interacting on the forums. If that ain't doing it for you either find a Torn playstyle that doesn't require it or go do something else while you wait.

That's Ched way of telling you to have a life
It's almost tailor made for players who don't want to sit in the game constantly, you can adjust your flight times by picking specific destinations, plus you have a variety of flights with different flight times to each of those destinations.
personally I use BCTs everywhere I go
I feel you. You will get a bunch of responses saying some bullshit about how its always been that way.
With points being worth less now, Ched could throw the nubs a bone, and have some kind of engagement while flying. Maybe a new mini-game or something.
I think this is truly the reason for flying, a way for active players to do something where they don't have to self hospitalize, but can still be somewhat safe for a period of time.
Edit: I would love poker and stocks while flying for "realism" and "immersion" but I understand how this breaks the balance of current mechanics as it could definately be used to protect cash easier this removing inherent risk of flying, and if your good at poker would add to income of flying which breaks the balance of the travel item trade economy. So overall if these were to be added it would take allot of rebalancing for many systems to work well could not be implemented just by adding poker and stock trading while flying.

if you can navigate your day around checking your phone, you can tailor your flights to your real world schedule, and remember PI pilots , you can slow down your time by flying commercial.

What do you think the forums are for??? Why not use that time to dig a little deeper into the game and learn some stuff?? Or do some shit posting/politicking?
If you mean in-game poker, that takes away from the possibility of mugging. If you mean off-game poker, you can already do that.
Are you saying your character should be able to play virtual poker using his laptop?
Are you gonna bring a couple billion on every trip? Would you be willing to be mugged? Non stop in a different country??
