Here are mine

Used to be +1 but as I get older I find myself wearing  +1.5  more

im into budget builds, just getting into the computer stuff and it was kinda by accident.

my son wanted a pc for christmas. but having 2 kids, a wife and needing to buy more than 1 gift for 800-1000usd. i started researching and found prebuilt builds. bought him a mt optiplex with 6700 i7. added 32gb of ddr4, 1tb hhd, a crucial nvme 1tb and a rtx 3050 since it can be powered by pcie alone. and it ran surprisingly well. fort around 200fps on performance and 120-140 fps on dx12. i got hooked.

being able to spec out a build, buy parts, install, then you have to overlock and start running bench marks to see how good it runs. since i put his togeather, ive since built myself 2 lol

right now im working with a hp victus and for the price to performance i love it.

msi rx 580 8gb oc. (my current bottleneck) have overclocked to 1500mhz clock and 2100mhz memory. runs decent for its age.

sceptre 1080p 165hz curved 27in monitor

all for 300 usd. nothing crazy but runs fairly well, especially for the price. will eventually swap out the card for 2060 super or another budget card. im not into rgb lighting and shit like that, this is pretty much all i will ever need lol

i enjoy pc talk, if you cant tell XD 

w specs i also have a HP Victus I love mine even though its cooling sucks

Yeah it’s pretty shit with cooling, I’ve seen videos of people adding fans to them but I don’t get over 80c on graphics card or cpu after changing thermal paste even during long game sessions or benchmarks. With that said it does sound like an airplane with most tasks, just throw on headphones and it won’t be heard. Lol

are you using ddr4 or ddr5?

ddr5  I just have mine on a stand to help with cooling

Did you notice big difference between ddr4 and ddr5? Or just slight. I’m running os on the nvme and its instantaneous on boot up and new pages. Etc Can’t see ddr5 being crazy faster, 

yeah my computer was  running much better with it because my first PC was a dell optiplex 4060 or something like it and It had ddr4 and it sucked it couldn't even boot fortnite and my laptop right now it has a graphics card but I can pull up around 600fps in fortnite 

This is interesting 🤔 I'm into building computers and didn't realize the RAM worked this way. I always just thought it was for multi tasking. Very 😎 

I'm currently running a 5900x on a b450f w strix 2060 super oc 8 gb 32 gb ddr4 3200 2 nvme .m2's. Built it myself in like 2019 w older parts and upgraded. I don't play a ton of games anymore so no way I'm spending 1500+ on a gpu lol

Great budget build! I was looking for a 2060 super aswell but a guy up the road posted a 2060 for 70usd, I couldn’t pass it up, so rocking it for now. Pairs well with the 5600g no major bottle necks. 

running rivals 200fps, fort over 300fps and hell divers around 120fps. For around 400 for the entire system, I love it. 

most I’m spending on any pc parts is 200. That’s my max. Maybe one day I will get more into it, but for now, this is all I can justify spending for playing 5hrs a week actually gaming. It was originally just for torn, which allowed me to become much MUCH faster. I get told I’m cheating atleast 1 time per war 🤣 I have been reported more times than I can count. lol fastest fingers in the west 😂 

Yea torn runs a million times better when you have multiple tabs going on everything on pc. It's funny tho cuz now my pc is downstairs so I'm usually on my phone for torn anymore. Now that I'm getting a lot better with android I'm interested in a tablet. I was just getting ready to watch a surface pro 12 teardown

i was pretty scrappy with my build.

bought cpu, ram and motherboard for msrp around 900usd equivalent back when the 7800x3d launched in summer 2023.

case, psu and ssd came from an used build i picked up for cheap and sold the unneeded parts. ended up breaking even and getting the stuff i needed for free 

then i kept my ancient 1080ti for awhile till the 4070s launched. 

in total around 1.5k usd equivalent?
