I watched the first Ep of Szn 2

bc my faction  Discord is going bonkers over it

Intriguing new entry in Star Wars genre, I agree, but also

Has anyone whose seen it also wondered if, in the Mothma settings (uber wealthy but rebellious ppl living in a Yosemite Natl Park looking planet) the writers just went,

“Ok, costumes like Shogun, accents like Downton Abbey, and dialogue from Jane Eyre, good? Let’s run with that.”

Yes, you are authorized to deviate from the Andor-centric focus of this thread to bring me news about

I watched up to episode 5 so far or maybe halfway through it. I keep on falling asleep. Though the whole dancing scenes seemed to just be filler.

if you took the books trying to made a pure adaption it would be inpossible. the beauty of the show it hitting all the major point needed to tell the story while making it possible for the normal people ro digest it. i also love the use of minor side characters to forward the story

and it not diseny it apple

Yes, I was noticing the excessive re-insertion of the Mothma 'wealthy peeps raving at some wedding' dance scenes, and asking "is this a focus group thing, or ...."

Agree, and the casting and performances of the Emperor, Seldon, Bel Riose, and other significant characters is so good, it makes up for much of the book material that had to be cut.
