What is marriage for?
Merits
Merit and property sharing. Many do it to share cost of pi or if lucky find player who owns pi and pay upkeep. Maybe rich player that doesn't even care about upkeep costs. Pi air strip adds 10 item capacity and free travel cost, which matters at lvl 15+ and great way to make money.
