The last time I overdosed on Xanax, I only lost 100 Happy. All times prior to that, I lost it all. I am currently a recruit at a new faction. Is this a special circumstance or a random good luck occurrence?

You should lose 100% of your Energy, Nerve and Happy.
You only had 100 happy to lose. Check logs for previous ODs, property moving etc to find out why that might be.
Hey, you are right. User error. I OD'd 2 times in a row and didn't even realize it.

As stated above, you lose all your current happy, energy, and nerve. You cannot go into the negatives.
