I’m on my second warning at work for taking

“suspiciously long bathroom breaks.”

Also, I think my boss's are spying on me... Might be time to start looking for another job.

Apparently corporate America frowns on spending half your shift plotting virtual crimes in a stall under the guise of IBS.

Discussion:

  • How much Torn do you play at work?

  • What kind of job do you have, and does it let you play without HR breathing down your neck?

  • Any dream jobs out there you've had or want to have that would let you play more torn at work?

disclaimer: sorry for bad quality, I made this post on the pooper at work... and also, this is a joke 😆. But I am curious how much torn time people have at work tho. Also sorry if this should had gone in another section of the forum!

I take around  10 bathroom breaks for torn at work a day.  I usually fly far so I don't need to go in too much more.

I paint mining equipment.     This isn't when we are swamped.  Only when we are slow.  No one bugs ya except your coworkers who need to poop lol

Why is it being reported? It's Torn-related general discussion.

  1. Shower, work, cook, chores, sleep, eat — I can do those while playing Torn. By playing, I mean gym, crime, chain (not real pushes), and trading. Does it really take that much time? No. Just stop chatting and lurking in forums unless you have free time.
  2. I’ve been my own boss since college.
  3. I’ve wanted to sell things and run my own business since selling newspapers in kindergarten. Never bored, even after burnouts. I just refine my methods and change the business.

Someone is paying you to work, not to play a game.  Where I work, phones aren't allowed in the buiding so I might get to walk the 1/2 mile to my car during lunch.

(It was probably reported to be moved to the general nonrelated forums.  I had the same happen to this post even though it is clearly talking about the clouds in the skies above Torn.  It's the picture we all see when we fly!)

Mentions: What do you see in the clouds?

How much Torn do you play at work?

All day.  TBH probably play more at work than home.

Any dream jobs out there you've had or want to have that would let you play more torn at work?

I mean, this is basically it.  Cushy job and my own office.  Also a helpdesk minion to do the dirty work...  Whom I referred to Torn about a month ago and hopefully he doesn't read this.

"How much Torn do you play at work?"

Too much. Somehow,  I ended up becoming chronically online and I'm pretty sure my phone is becoming apart of my hand.

I run a (someone else's) business. I am my own boss so whats HR? Lol

Already in it. I am living my best life that's also happening in the worse timeline.

How is sitting on the shitter any different from sitting in an office chair? Is my office chair weakening my anus muscles?

These are the important issues after all, as I gotta stay nice and tight for when Torn staff decided to f**k me.

I work at private owned nature rehab and wildlife conservation adjacent to a huge state owned national park. I take care of the grounds and occasional wounded animal, and if hiker lost am one of main search party. Only because proximity to trails. And knowledge of my forest. My boss and my gf are same lady. She live an hour away in town. So. Sometimes I Torn when mow. Sometimes I Torn when repair things need repaired. Sometimes, I just Torn. Because like winter less to do. Is best job. And. No co-workers unless large project and she hire temps.

  • How much Torn do you play at work?

Entire time

  • What kind of job do you have, and does it let you play without HR breathing down your neck?

Insurance - I do my job, HR only breathes down peoples neck if you're not doing your job - IT on the other hand might, but I have a good relationship with them.

  • Any dream jobs out there you've had or want to have that would let you play more torn at work?

No, a jobs a job.

I play almost all day at work, one of the main reasons I play this game is that it doesn't make any sound (i have no speakers, job is all data driven) and doesn't need any video. I probably log at least 4 - 6 hours a day at work

I'm in sales and sometimes have to deal with customers face to face. Maybe 10 - 12 customers a day, sometimes more. I have my own desk and the moniter faces the wall so no one is able to see my moniter. The cameras are in the front of my desk watching me and everything else but can't see my screen. I have the moniter elevated off the desk so I can see underneath it if anyone is approaching. If so I quickly change browsers. I also have the moniter slightly turned, about 10 degrees, so if I miss someone, when they round my desk they can't see the screen so quickly with just a side glance. My reflexes are fast, faster if it's the boss coming at me, lol I used to play Runescape at my desk but I've been warned twice so I turned to Torn dot com.

This is the job I want for now, lmao I can't imagine playing more Torn at work than I do now. Impossible. Maybe

Not Torn directly, but back when I was obsessed with another browser game I had just been promoted to department manager at Walmart. It was more involved, needing to raid to feed your army and whatnot. Thankfully in retail I could always find an excuse to be in the backroom digging through pallets or something to do  something on the phone. We were an extremely busy store in Florida so it was easy to be on the floor sending an attack or something though too.

There is no support across the seat, so everything is suspended by the air. Leaning forward/back can also increase the pressure. But basically it distributes the pressure all to your perennial area. Ever played one of those bridge builder games, think about where the pressure would be red if you only supported the sides of the bridge.

People then get weakened pelvic floor/nerve damage over time..... This can cause prolapses, hemorrhoids, incontinence (in bladder/rectum/both), constipation, sexual dysfunction (reduced sensation/outright failure), etc.

Also I do not recommend to sit in the office chair much either. Terrible for circulation, posture, etc. People are now getting "office butt" too, where they lose muscle and tone in their booty from sitting so long. Being that your legs/glutes are your largest muscles by default best not to neglect them for overall health/metabolic function. Get a standing desk to mix it up, once an hour walk for 5 minutes to bathroom/refill water, etc.

Do not forget your neck, arms, shoulders, wrists, knees, back/spine, eye strain, etc. either. Can do some easy 10 second stretches on each area once every hour or two.

It is nice we have the luxury of more desk jobs now, and do not have to trade our bodies dilapidation with hard labor.... But if you look at the people doing hard labor they are generally fit/strong, whereas those in an office environment tend to be weak/chubby. Personally I think the ideal health and lifespan would be working in an office, but: stretch, walk it out, go to gym 3x a week or more, eat right.  Whereas the manual labor worker may be able to skip the gym and maintain physical appearance their body will not last that many decades of hard labor. The manual worker is subject to overuse of joints and muscles, where the office worker is subject to under use and essentially muscle atrophy.

I only do important stuff thats really quick. We use phones at work anyway so seeing a nurse running around with two or more phones is pretty common so it's not an issue as long as you are responsible. I do spend lunch on torn but everything is train, crime, hospital and the occasional faction duties.
