I don't want to just attack random strangers, that seems rude. Do y'all just wait for somebody to attack you, and then retaliate? Or is there a better system to it? Day 2, still learning.

You can use baldr guide to attack people with lower stat that already not online for a long period of time
Another option is the new player thread. Find players inactive for a long period of time. You can recycle people if you make a target list.
Swap the list out as you get stronger.
You can also use the HOF. Generally those with a down arrow have been inactive for a while.
