How can this user chat and send messages to me when it states the message in the red? These messages of course, came as they came through so it wasn't 3 messages then they changed the setting.

They messaged you and then blocked you.

Guess we'll allow someone to test it and make sure I guess.
The person can block you or remove you from their Recently Met list after sending the message. This prevents you from responding to them.

Edit: Ok. That shouldn't be possible at all, albeit not a "bug" as such but still an issue with the chatting system to allow thay if it was the case.
