Can someone please give me a brief explanation on how to find one's faction API key? I've looked everywhere in the faction's settings but can't seem to find it there or in my list of API keys.

There's no such thing as a "Faction API Key."
What you're thinking of is "Faction API Access," which is a permission that can be tied to faction positions to allow those in positions it's ticked for to pull non-public faction API data.
