Some companies run at a loss in this game so you might have to sell all the trains, for the director to make a profit. Most people are unlikely to tell the new buyer the small details.
A report will reveal the chosen companies financial details, including their vault balance and highest and lowest, as well as the average pay. However this will only work if they are not holding Symcore MFG. If they have the stock you will not be charged!
Example:
You used 50 job points observing the financial details of Company XXX . They appear to have a balance of $809,962,144,348 in their account. After browsing the various transactions, of the 20 individuals on the payroll, you determine that the highest pay is $8,000,000 and the lowest pay is $4,000,000, an average of $5,097,500.
