The audacity of modern companies is absolutely insane. RAM prices are skyrocketing to an unbelievable extent. And it's not like there's any industrial issues or companies out of business. It is an ultimate "f**k you" in the face of a customer who's not willing to pay as much as literal corporate giants, showing off their AI generated dicks and stock prices. What are your thoughts on that? It feels like wanting people to become more people-ish is straight up delusional at this point in time

Crucial aren't doing D2C anymore for the foreseeable. Like everything stuff happens and let's hope they put good use to it. The likes of glok can do one though
haha its more than doubled. I'm glad i built most of what I wanted in late 2024 / early 2025.
theres some nuance to all of this, in that its kind of understandable from a manufacturer perspective. The big ram producers ramped up production before and ultimately got stung with it because the demand didn't exist, which resulted in a cheap period of SSDs / nvme ssd's / ram.
the big problem is that all the excess capacity is being gobbled up by ai.
