Can items still be found after the event ends or do any unfound items from Duke disappear from the dump after the event ends?

Yes, they can still be found.
Because of the way the dump works, low quantity (expensive) items are just as likely to be found as the crap with millions of duplicates in there, so while duke drops can be found after the event, they will run out fairly quickly as people pick them up.
