How are you supposed to get a bounty or a resurrection/crucifixion merit if when you heal someone then there is a minute lag count down box on your screen and someone else gets to take them out before you?
Happened twice in a row, so I wasted a refill for nothing then if I can't do what I took it for.

If you were to revive someone not in a war, there would be no delay and it would be much easier to get the merit.
As mentioned above, you need to try your hands on someone who is not currently in a war. During wars, the participants are provided a 60 seconds window where they are protected from outside hits. The only players who can bypass this protection window are the ones who are fighting the war.
