I may or may not have gotten the idea for this based on a topic in General Discussion.
I didn't know whether to call this a game or a challenge, so 'game' won. The rules are super simple.
Send a single $1 Torn buck to a random player along with a kind message to them. There's so much negativity in the world, seems every time we blink something else is falling apart, or breaking, or going to hell in a raggedy old handbasket. The daily can be hard on us all. We're all working to barely get by - and sometimes an out of the blue, totally unexpected caring word can completely turn someone's day into a better day. Sometimes that word or sentence can give someone a reason to take another step forward and then another.
So feel free to pick whomever on Torn, how you find them is your Thing. Send a dollar and add a message that can make someone smile again. Make them feel like it's all going to be okay somehow. That they ARE Enough. That someone is proud of them. That they GOT this and it'll all be okay.
No need to share the message here and there's no prize for the most messages sent or most touching message. Nothing like that. My hope is that you'll go onward from sending the message and feel happier, as will the recipient. That's the prize. We all need and deserve to feel amazing, hopeful, to smile, to see life a little bit more positive that we did pre message. If they dm and ask what it was all about, feel free to direct them here if you wish. Maybe they'll then pay it forward and help someone else feel seen, appreciated, Enough, etc.
