It is an old open source first person shooter built on the quake engine. Has anyone ever heard of it?
I first played it around 2005. Similar vibes to early counter-strike, very very low system requirements. My Xbox recently kicked the bucket, and so I'm forced to game on a potato laptop again for the first time in years 😂
With it being on the quake engine, "strafe jumping" was a huge part of the game (you could jump and turn slightly, and when skilled you could jump across the map like parkour)
I can't believe it's been 20 years later there are still active servers! If you are looking for a fun, free FPS that can run on super old hardware, I highly recommend it.
