I know someone has made a thread regarding making them more impactful, but mine is going to focus on a different aspect, which is the regulation of dirty bombs.
I understand that making it takes a LOT of time and effort. That's fine, and that doesn't need to be changed. The priming process doesn't need to be changed either.
What I think can be implemented, are measures to ensure people aren't randomly going willy nilly with them. Dirty bombs are supposed to be rare, and they are supposed to be massively destructive weapons that make a statement that shit just got real. Here is what I suggest:
Impose a cooldown on the amount of dirty bombs allowed to be detonated between a 24 to 72 hour period. This will allow recovery and preparation, and can be justified by saying there's an increased presence and caution for a while
Make dirty bombs have potential consequences for ones not used on factions with territories, meaning there is a percentage chance for it to backfire on the leaders faction or person that planted it.
I think this would curb frivolous dbs and be a step closer to them feeling impactful rather than an annoyance. That's what its supposed to be after all: An extremely impactful way to damage a factions reputation and spice up territories....
Would love to hear input. Thanks in advance. If theres any other way to make it more balanced also put those there as well.
