So, I could use the opinion of someone more well-versed in the ways of RW weapons than myself. I think I put together a functional set, but I’m always looking to improve and could use some pointers/feedback.

I was initially running a 17% Evis Kodachi as my opening attack (after temps, if applicable). Once I achieved an Evis proc, I would either spam my primary (18%, formerly 26% Puncture Armalite), or my secondary (11% Revit BT MP9) depending on the strength of the target I’m up against.

Now, since the changes to puncture, it no longer really fits my needs. I’ve run across EOD twice in RW’s, and even at its original 26% proc rate, it wasn’t going to be the deciding factor. At 18%, I’m effectively getting the same effects I was previously, but 30% less often.

Went on the hunt for a new primary, and was VERY torn on the direction to go. I was initially going to pick up a high orange Arma with nearly 80 damage and 64 accuracy, but with an incredibly ‘meh’ bonus (35% conserve). While the bonus would have been nice paired with a recoil pad for using special ammo, but decided against that route. Instead, I went looking at powerful/penetrate bonus high quality yellows in the same price range as ‘meh’ oranges.

I’m ready to pull the trigger, but could use some input.

Firstly, I know it seems like a given, but I’m better off buying a better bonus yellow than a basically no bonus orange, correct?

Sefond, Since I’m pairing with an Evis melee, I’m feeling like powerful will be a more consistent ‘synergy’ with that than would penetrate. Am I correct in thinking that? Is there some hidden metric that invalidates this?

I know I used a lot of words to basically say what could have been a quick chat, but I wasn’t sure where to put it, so thank you in advance if you read and/or take the time to throw me your opinion!
