Is a parcel worth it opening? Because I dont know what it gives you when opened, and should I sell it? Its hard to know how much it is worth selling without a price.

Open it
You can't sell a parcel anymore. It was possible years ago and there are some in item market/bazaars left from that but you are no longer able to add them to bazaar, market or trades.
A user creates a parcel by selecting a box then adding anything they like to it. So your parcel might contain something useless or something valuable.
If you click on it one time without actually opening, it should give you a preview of what's inside.
Be aware that there are several objects a user can disguise as another object. One is a small explosive device, which if it's in a parcel and you open the parcel, will explode you and give you 5 hours hospital time. Another is a horsehead, which if you open a parcel with one in it, will remove all your energy, happiness and nerve. That's especially bad if you are stacking or doing a happy jump.
There's no way to be sure whether someone put one of those into a parcel and disguised it, so don't open parcels from people you don't know and trust unless you are about to go to rehab anyway and have used your energy first.
