Sorry about not providing you the link (I will edit this post if I find the guide) but it is because happy jump gives you flat increase in stats. So it matters when it jumps your training from 10 stat gain to 100 per 10e, but not that much when it jumps your stats gain from 300 to 400 per 10e.
It should be giving you diminishing returns from 400k iirc.
Is it true that increasing happiness eventually will starts to decrease your gains or no?
It's more like, the edge extra happiness gives becomes detrimental at some point. So it's like;
Scenario 1; You got low stats, you normally get 10 str per train. You do happy jump, now every train gives you 100 str (figurative number, not exact). That's a huge jump and normal xan use + natural energy doesn't give you that
Scenario 2: You got high stats, every train gives you 1000 str (figurative again). Doing a happy jump will give you 1090 str, and you'll be missing on natural E, which means it actually gives you less stats because you could be using those xans + natural energy and train for more gains
so basically, the happy jump does not give you multiplying gains, it gives+ gains, which becomes detrimental.
It is recommended to stop doing HJ's at around 200k in a stat, 400k if you're in a 10* AN company. Technically they are more effective than just doing xanax and training til double that amount, but you can see Baldr's reasoning on it here.
Higher happy will never give smaller stats. More happy, more gains, but the effect is getting smaller when the stats get bigger. The problem with a happy jump is not happy, but the loss of natural energy while stacking, also the additional risk of losing a bunch of stacked energy due to an OD. As others have mentioned, the limit when stacking for a happy jump is starting to harm you is 400k for a traditional happy jump (1000 energy stacked and 5 edvds used).
My personal experience is 400k per stat, but this post is one I like with some examples.
