I can't get the merit for having all lightweight gyms. It says 7/8, but I'm on the first medweight gym. Hopefully, someone can check my logs. I can't get images to work; the link keeps breaking. If pictures are needed, I'll try to figure it out.

You might have skipped actually buying one of the lightweight gyms. Unlocking them by gym experience doesn’t they are bought.
