There’s a lot more to Craps than I can fit in a single reply, but the basic way it’s played is by rolling a pair of dice. On your first roll, if you roll a 7 or 11 you win your bet, and if you roll a 2, 3, or 12 you lose your bet.

If you roll a 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10, that number now becomes “the point” and in order to win your bet, you now need to roll the point number again before you roll a 7. If you roll a 7 before you roll the point number, you lose your bet. If you roll a 2, 3, or 12 while the point number is set, nothing happens, and you just roll again until either you roll the point number or a 7.

There are many bets you can make while playing Craps. They are marked all over the table/play surface. You place bets on the table by dragging your chips onto the table and dropping them on the spot of the bet you want to make. Different bets pay out different odds depending on how likely you are to win that bet.

 The most common bet is the “Pass” bet. It works just like I described above. There is an opposite bet to the Pass bet appropriately called the “Don’t Pass” bet. With the Don’t Pass bet, you lose on 7 or 11 on the first throw, win on 2 or 3, and set the point if you roll 4,5,6,8,9,10 and have to keep rolling, but this time you will WIN if you roll a 7 before rolling the point number. With Don’t Pass you will lose if you roll the point before rolling a 7.

Basically every space on the table is a bet you can make that the number(s) shown will be rolled on either the next roll of the dice or before a 7 is rolled. If you tap/click on the spaces on the table it should show you a small description of how that space wins or loses.  Googling the name of the bet (“Craps come bet” or “Craps don’t come bet”) should also help explain things.
