I’ve just equipped a gun and I’m trying to buy ammo - there was two buttons and I assumed they were both BUY hence I discovered this.

 

I put 99 in the BUY field and it jumped to 60. I then typed 99 into SELL (thinking it was also buy) and that jumped to 60 too. Makes sense since I owned 60 bullets.

 

The next actual BUY jumped to a number less than 60. Then I sold. Then I bought, so on so forth, now I can only buy 6 bullets at a time.

The shop sell price is not the same as the buy price as is the norm in the Torn economy, there is a $5 difference in buy and sell prices visible so by repeating the cycle as you have you have depleted your funds left available to purchase ammo.
