Is there an issue with reward calculation for RWs?

How does a higher ranked, higher lead target war pay less than the war before it?

Are warring rewards based off your starting rank or the the rank you earn after the war? Because after a war, ranking up to gold and a higher lead target score to achieve to win, should not be the same / lower pay than a silver war, both real wars also.

If using starting rank it makes no sense, means you earn higher tier rewards from being demoted and earn fuck all on promotions

Cache's market value is not how the ranked war is graded. If you want a clear indication of which war got you more "score", check the respect gains. That is a direct indicator of how much score you obtained for the war, and this score gets converted into caches as rewards based on internal weights (regardless of what their market value is).

Thanks!

2227 Vs 3672, such a huge difference in score to get less rewards. That is over 50% more score to earn less rewards. Cache prices are also up over last week.

2227 Vs 3672, surely a 50% increase on score should pay more than the last war. No one actually cares if you earn 5 caches vs 3 if the 5 caches are worth less money...

Rewards have a +/- 10% rng. You can do everything right and still get chedded.

The most obvious explanation is last war you got +x% rng and this war you got -x% rng.

No, they got more "potential cache drops" - just the ones they received were ones which have a lower (player-driven) market value.

They did get MORE rewards, just not the ones in demand...

2325 bonus respect vs 2588 bonus respect. I am not sure where you are pulling those values from. I am asking you to check how much respect you have gained along with the caches.

I'm quoting the amount of respect we gained during the war to get the win. Nearly a 50% difference in target lead score to start and nearly 50% more respect gained from hits during the war and ranked up to gold and the awarded respect is only about 10% more and the market value is less. It just seems like quite a difference, maybe just chedded on rng like grim said

The score only matters for participation rewards. What CloudJumper is referring to is the bonus respect (just before the caches) as an indicator for what tier of rewards you'll randomly pick from.

Going up in rank gives you more picks out of a bucket (of caches). In your case, the previous war gave you 3 picks out of the bucket and got lucky on the picks. On the second war you got 4 picks and got unlucky with the value of the picks. You'll likely notice a bigger increase if you guys win the next war while being in gold.
