Torn RW Pricer

Inline price estimates on RW weapons and armour, from daily auction data

RW weapons and armour are a pain to price. The item market shows you one listing, the auction house shows another, and unless you've been watching auctions for weeks you've got no real idea what a Yellow vs a Red one with the right bonus actually goes for.

This script drops an RWP EST price estimate right next to RW gear wherever it shows up, so you can see what it's worth without leaving the page.

• An "RWP EST" badge on RW weapons and armour across the item market, auction house, bazaars, your own items, and profiles
• The estimate is built from recent auction sales and is rarity- and bonus-aware, so a Yellow Quicken and a Red Quicken don't show the same number
• Combo pricing: what a specific weapon-plus-bonus actually sells for, not just the bonus on its own

The data refreshes daily, so it's not a stale one-time snapshot. Nothing to set up for the badges and no API key needed.

Credit where it's due: this came after seeing the great Full Auction Sale History by Marches, and the auction sale data behind these estimates comes from there.

Optional: add your own Torn API key and it does a few more things:

• Inventory prices — a market price next to every item in your inventory, not just RW gear
• Trade prices — a value on each item in a trade, item names shaded by how much they're worth, and a running "Total value" for each side, so you can see at a glance what's actually on the table
• Networth — updates your networth to include the real auction value of your RW weapons and armour, which Torn's own networth tends to undervalue

The key stays in your browser and is only used to read prices and your inventory from Torn's API.

Works on desktop with Tampermonkey and in Torn PDA.

I noticed this script doesn’t correctly calculate a median for double bonus weapons. It simply takes the higher value bonus and makes that its target price, ignoring the other bonus median (but it still shows in the extended view)

Your tool is otherwise fantastic so far, but I've been having issues with the pricing on my Lorcin.

I see a lot of good stuff, but I have concerns. When you're pricing a double bonus item with no comp sale for that pair, you're picking the bonus with the highest value and adding it as the base price, but that value comes from 'weaponComboPrices', which is median pricing built from single-bonus-only sales.

Ex: 9mm Uzi with Revitalize 10% + Specialist 31% sold for $320,000,011, but the script estimates $3,853,872,840 by using the single bonus revitalize median ($3.8B, n=14) as the base. If you want remotely accurate estimates for weapons like this you have to interpolate value across the bonus, not just the median. Back-testing against Marches' feed shows this isn't a rare issue, ~50% of double-bonus sales lack an exact-pair comp, and of those ~30% are off by >50%, mostly overpriced but also under as seen in EnjoyTheWaste's reply above.

I double checked the logic going on here and got to the same spot, but let me know if I'm missing something.

Hey thank you for this, I’ve been working on it for some time but pushed up an update, very solid points I don’t think you’re missing anything let me know how the new update is, I’m not sure why they inflated that estimate so high but that was fixed I even recalculated and should’ve reduced the off percentage by quite a bit

RW Pricer — forums and trades

Two new places it works

Most RW trading happens in forum threads, which was the one place the script couldn't see. It can now.

Forum threads — it reads the stock people post, whether that's a screenshot or a typed-out list, and puts a price next to each item. Hover a price and it tells you what it matched on and how many sales that came from. Nothing to set up, no API key.

Trades — the total at the top of a trade is now the RW price instead of Torn's value, with Torn's number in brackets so you can see the gap. The Steyr AUG below comes out at $1.07b. Torn had it at $74,589.
