Imagine you're lying on your deathbed in the hospital, knowing you've only got like two days left... So you drink half a bottle of oil and eat a pound of corn.

Then, when they cremate you, there'd be popcorn popping inside the furnace.

How funny would that be? haha

Do you drink the oil & eat the corn two days in advance? Because that sounds more like a recipe for a highly lubricated corn cannon. 

Either way, all fun and games until someone gets corn in the eye.

Oh yeah i never thought of that explosive mixture, 
Get the good old wine cork to use then, will probably be even better for the furnace.. :)

Any volunteers to try this for science?

 

One could try to replicate this with a chicken in the oven, first. If that's successful then that creates a whole new recipe for popcorn chicken. 🍿

Don't think so, amidst the super high heat I'm guessing the popcorn will incinerate as soon as it pops if it doesn't burn directly. Also I don't think those things have glass screens so that you can view what's going on...
