I do believe I can argue that the money spent here on donator packs is a form of gambling, therefore filing it as such. Thoughts?

It will not hold up. For gambling you need to have a chance to get something out of it for what you pay. Where a donator pack is just you buying an item. You do not get any real chance of winning anything. So therefor not really counts as gambling. Even if you do gamble in the game. It would not count as gambling. Where from What I have seen for taxes it only counts if you lose more than you are able to win. So it would not work in this case. Because in the game you do not earn any monitary value unless you are breaking game rules and doing some real money trading or something along those lines which would get one in trouble on the game.
Also with those rules it would be only actual gambling debts that you could prove. Like unwinning lottery tickets. You can not just say you lost a whole bunch betting with people and it counts as the gambling tax deduction.
