Season 1 • Episode 2: Welcome to Parkland
The moon hangs low over Parkland as racers arrive beneath a blanket of fog. The victory of Emile12 from Episode 1 still echoes through the underground, but tonight nobody is talking about champions.
They're talking about the secret.
Rumors have spread throughout Gotham's racing circles. Deep within the Parkland course lies something hidden—something that appears only at midnight. Some say it's an abandoned checkpoint from a forgotten league. Others whisper about a masked racer who vanished years ago and still haunts the track.
As the Gotham Underground Medics prepare their equipment, a mysterious envelope is discovered attached to the starting lights.
Inside is a single message:
"Fifteen laps. One winner. One truth."
No signature.
No explanation.
The racers line up. Engines roar to life. The forest surrounding Parkland seems almost alive, watching from the darkness.
When the green lights ignite, the field explodes forward.
Lap after lap, racers battle through sharp bends and moonlit straights. But on Lap 7, several competitors report seeing strange lights deep within the woods.
By Lap 12, the rumors become impossible to ignore.
A hidden trail briefly appears beside Turn 4.
Only a few racers notice.
Only one chooses to follow it.
As the final laps approach, the mystery deepens. The hidden path vanishes as quickly as it appeared, leaving behind only questions and tire marks leading into the darkness.
The checkered flag waves.
A winner is crowned.
But Parkland's secret remains unsolved.
As the crowd disperses, the hooded figure seen watching from the treeline steps forward and places another envelope on the abandoned starting grid.
The camera zooms in.
The envelope reads:
Episode 3....
TRACK: TBA
LOCATION: UNKNOWN
TIME: 0000 TCT
Beneath it, written in red ink:
"The truth begins where the road ends."
The hooded figure disappears into the darkness before anyone can react.
The envelope suddenly catches fire.
Only one symbol remains visible in the ashes:
