Restores the Pride Day rainbow and star effect that Torn had on their logo hover for Pride Day. Once Torn removes the event, this script brings it back as a permanent opt-in for players who enjoyed it.
What it does:
- Displays a full-screen accurate pride flag overlay with a waving flag animation on logo hover
- Spawns coloured sparkle stars randomly across the screen while hovering
- Fades in and out smoothly when entering and leaving the logo
- Uses a star pool system to reuse DOM nodes for better memory efficiency
- Completely idle until you hover the logo, nothing runs in the background
What it doesn't do:
- Doesn't touch any game UI, layout, or alignment
- Doesn't interfere with TornTools or any other userscripts
- Doesn't modify any game functionality
- Doesn't consume any resources until triggered
Performance: Designed to be budget-machine friendly. All animations, compositing, and GPU hints are fully inactive while on standby and only activate on hover. Works on both dedicated and integrated graphics without any background drain.
Compatibility: Works on all modern browsers with Tampermonkey or Violentmonkey installed.
Note: This script is in no way a statement against Pride Month or the LGBTQ+ community. Torn's Pride Day celebration is wonderful and this script exists purely to give players the choice to keep the visual effect after Torn removes it. Some users may also experience eye strain or discomfort from flashing animations, which is why a companion disable script is also available. This is about personal preference and accessibility, nothing more.
