Hello my faction chat funtion is not working it used to tell how many messages have be posted since I last opened it and turn green when doing so now it just stays grey. yesterday I didn't notice and just assumed everyone had nothing to say for a change

That would be because you have Flash enabled for Faction chat. You can turn it on from the settings:
