Really like rise of kingdoms but it's painfully pay to win so not much fun 

Not interested in shooters or any dexterity based games being I only have a phone

Marvel SNAP! is my go to.

You can pay to unlock skins and the like but I've only every bought two season passes. 1 because I like the card and the 2nd because I have logged so many hours on it that I figured it was only fair to toss them a few bucks.

more seriously i've been playing more classics mobile games like "hill climb racing" or "bad piggies" i've also a game i've been playing for more than a decade , it's "pocket frogs"

Right now besides Torn, i'm playing Nikke and Epic 7. They're pretty gatcha games

Look up fdroid on the play store and enjoy a catalogue of open source programs and games.

Battle for Wesnoth is great if you like the old tactics games.

0 a.d. is age of empires. 

Or be even more gangster and install apkvision and get all the games that aren't f2p for f2p.
