Maybe this has been asked already, but how will tiger day work if we cant carry weapons or load the ones we buy overseas? Is there no tiger day this year or am i just not getting it

Always been like that (or at least for a few years well before travel 2.0 changes).
Hunting is just a mechanic that uses E and a small fee.
No weapons or armor or other items required at all.
