On a serious note, this is a very sad, and disgusting story. May God grant the child and his family ease. It seems damn near impossible now days for us to sufficiently protect children.
Too many households with both parents working, or single parents working, leaving the kids with babysitters, daycares, family, friends, etc. No one can afford shit, slaving away too many hours, just to have their children raised by others, schools, media, getting brainwashed, and getting abused in various ways, physically, and mentally. We see evidence of the results of this bullshit every day.
Surely, if we reduced the hours in a work week, and made living more affordable for that pay rate, people would have more time with their kids, and it would at least reduce these cases a bit, with less windows of opportunity available for the predators. Even if both parents wanted to work, they would be able to schedule it so one is home by the time the other leaves. This is a good foundation that can be built on, or altered. We can also provide better security, surveillance, staff, and supervision at recreational centers, where kids can go after school if needed.
