Hey everyone,
During Faction Wars (Ranked War, Territory War, etc.), active communication and banter are a huge part of the fun. I propose adding a temporary War Chat tab that only opens while two factions are actively at war with each other.
How it works:
Shared Channel: A separate chat tab where members of both opposing factions can talk to each other.
Color Coded Names: To easily distinguish friends from foes, team member names appear in Green/Blue, while the opposing faction's names appear in Red.
Automatic Activation: The chat automatically opens when a war starts and closes when the war ends.
Optional Toggle: Includes a mute/minimize option for players who prefer not to participate in the banter.
Why this would be great for Torn:
Increases active participation and makes wars feel much more interactive and exciting.
Encourages direct confrontation, leading to fewer players just flying away or staying in the hospital (self-hosping) to dodge the war.
Keeps faction-wide announcements clean in the main Faction Chat while isolating the war banter.
