Outside of grey or damage RW weapons being used to simply apply distraction and maybe cause damage, what weapons do you use when punching up to help your stronger players take down opposing bigguns?

For both distraction and harassment during assists, I’ve used effects like eviscerate, slow, blowgun poison, and the good old cattle prod in an attempt to maintain distraction and keep myself alive for an extra turn. Looking for interesting and/or annoying techniques that you use.

Smokes, Flash, Tear Gas are going to be the best to start off with.

Cattle Prod would be good, as well as debuff effects. Evisc, Slow, Suppress, Stun. But the distraction debuff itself is strong enough on it's own to not really need more.

Poison and other DoT's are not going to be great, as they're based on the initial damage done, which if you're not hitting very hard is not going to be doing much.

Pretty much as WhackedMaki said, but I'll add a bit.

If your damage will be minimal, then debuffs and cattleprod work best. I think most debuffs require landing a damaging hit though, so if you can't do damage, a lot of them won't make a difference. The rank order I would put it in is:

Eviscerate

execute

slow/cripple/weaken/wither

disarm

stun/paralyze/suppress

cattleprod

parry

But that's just my opinion~

Suppress would be very useful.   I'd put it right after eviscerate because it's a chance to apply.

Other debuffs would be good too but it depends on the stat ratios of the target and the heavy that plans on taking them out.  Weaken for example wouldn't do much if their a dex build.

Backstab is made for it and can let you actually hurt them in some situations but unless you do it a lot it's annoying to swap in and out.
