I’ve prayed 14 days in a row and didn’t receive the Forgiven merit:

Probably because you've gone more than 24 hours without praying many times during those 14 days. It is recommended to pray twice a day (~12h intervals) for around 2 weeks for the merit. 

It was described to me as just being once a day for fourteen days. Is that wrong? Thanks for the reply

There is more to it than that, players haven't worked out what the missing trigger is (yet)

a faction mates log who was rewarded the merit. Multiple times went over 24hrs

The ones under 24 hours count as progress towards it, the ones longer than 24 hours do not.

Indycision, no, 12 of those are over 24 hours apart. Apparently it’s just that the priest likes him more haha

Its probably rng mixed with that 24h requirement, just pray when you wake up and before going to sleep for 2-3 weeks, it comes eventually

A mixed blessing, I'm sure it came with some other... downsides :)
