But I'm basing this off pure speculation not evidence
Just off speculation, but I don't think it'll be quite as dramatic as previous years. The keepsakes were introduced a few years ago, causing a scramble for points. But now that it has been going on for several years, many people are already anticipating the release and buying points ahead of time, either to get the keepsakes or capitalize on the spike.
