As everyone knows I'm a HUGE Dexter fan. What you may not know is I'm an aspiring writer. Right now I'm writing a novella about a kid who's going to become a serial killer. Anyhow, I'm paying 100 million to whoever can give me the most imaginative, gory, sinister Dexter sig this place has ever seen. Choose whatever Dex render you want, background, etc. The sky is the limit and I'd like to make it a yearly thing if it works out well. We can discuss price also on a "killer" ribbon for whoever wins. I'm thinking of recruiting two people who aren't participating to judge. If things go well I was thinking of having categories like most original, scariest and so on the next time. What do you guys think?
Huh...interesting. First, the clarity of these is amazing. Don't know what the problem is between you and Vanessa, but the only thing holding these back for me is the text. It's too bland, too normal for such great effects. Go through whatever you've got available in your image editor and play around until you find something you really like. Sorry, but it kills the rest of the sig.
There is a guy hosting a table who has been logged out for about 16 hours. I didn't notice, sat down, and realized he wasn't doing anything. So, I logged out, logged back in and I'm still stuck at the table. I can't get out to play at a different one. My money is not useful because it is stuck at the table too. Help me...
Ya, I'm part of FLUX. I don't even play that much anymore. You want to fed me, go ahead. It's "governments" that run countries. Committees run Torn. From all of the information I've seen maybe having a committee was a bad idea. I was obviously under the mistaken idea that it was to HELP average players have a chance, or at least a better one. This kind of "corruption" should not be instigated, should not be coerced, and at this point, should not be handled in any way shape or form by ANYONE outside the factions involved. People who are supposed to be exacting, or otherwise overseeing, fair play and threaten to use staff tools to otherwise induce a preferred outcome is outrageous. As far as I'm concerned this isn't much better than the ST. Valentine's Day Massacre led by Al Capone. He had some of his men pretend to be cops. They held up a bunch of Irish enemy gang members. Once they dropped their guns Capone's men slaughtered them. They never had a chance. Okay, take out the real life violence and you have the EXACT same situation. So, seriously, if this the kind of game Torn has been REDUCED to then I tell every single low to mid-level faction right now...watch yourselves. If this is the solution. That high ranking members of Torn's elite can come in and tilt any situation in their favor and simply justify with a political staement Well, that tells me it'll happen again. Why? Because history as we all know from college repeats itself. As long as strongarm tactics aren't being questioned, they'll continue. You want to S7 someone for being extorted? That's like being jailed for not being a criminal. So, you know, I'm done. I wasn't playing this "game" much anymore anyway. The truth be told, for once, I was trying to find a reason to quit for good. This is it. It's not even a game anymore. It use to be fun. It use to be a place to come and hang out with friends. Sometimes you even texted members of rival factions because you knew them before and you could still be friends. That's not what I see now. It's not a game. It's a struggle. It's a headache evolved into something born out of those who feast on drama. That's a shame because this really use to be a great game. I loved it. Not anymore.
Honestly I just bought every stock that gave back to me in material. Featherly Hotel. I never have to watch it. That is a bonus. Nothing worse than babysitting. Symbiotic. Let's be clear, in the long run either TV or oil rig will catch up. That's true. I don't have to be around to watch my networth rise. You can't mug items. As anyone can tell you inflation is always inflating. When I first started playing this game you could buy a Donator Pack for 5m. Today you'll be lucky to find one for 20m. So go the other items. Even the lowly medical packs were going for 200k. Now they go for 800k. Ya, that was a long time ago. I like to keep things. At 4 a month over 7 years I wonder what 84 Featherly Hotel Couons would be worth? A ballpark figure would be 7b. Just saying. Each has it ups and downs, but a lot of money for simply buying a stock.
So, anyone who knows me knows I've bought a lot of artwork off here over the years. I just got a custom done by my man Shiva here. As of this writing I haven't posted it yet. I will soon. Let me assure you his work, in my opinion, was worth the 25m I paid. Since it was a Dexter sig (Showtime, not Cartoon Network) I held it to a higher standard than normal. I was very pleased. Good job and I'll come to you again next time I need GFX done. Thanks again.
Yep, remember everyone who's made great tags started somewhere. The deal here is not to make a tag, first one I assume, and then post it. People want to see that you put some effort into it. If they don't think you're serious they wont waste their time. So, go to pimpedpixels.com read some tuts, practice for a month or two and post again. Otherwise you'll be subjected to more of the same negativity. Unless you like being orally hammered. Good Luck.
For anyone who was around during the Graphics Aid days. Careful about letting one person buy everything. Eventually you'll end up with supply and no demand. IMO it's why the graphics forum died because the mainstream buyers all faded out leaving a grand total of maybe half a dozen or so people left that could afford anything.
