I have no doubts a lot of players are sick and tired of first responders meddling with their inner pyromaniacs for arson crimes.
Especially for larger arsons requiring upwards of 50 nerve. Nothing is more frustrating at spending that type of nerve only for first responders to show up and reign in the fire at 99%- failing it in cockblock-esque fashion.
By principle- players are criminals with questionable morals, weapons, and the whole gambit afforded to us by the game. 1st responders know that- therefore, I am pretty certain they are armed too and capable of defending themselves.
By logic- players remain close by an arson to be able to track and monitor the percentage of burn damage; not to mention further adding or dampening the blaze. Or god forbid be caught red handed and apprehended by the authorities.
Therefore we are close enough to engage when 1st responders arrive at the scene.
For balancing and immersion like with pvp attacks, besides nerve use, it would be fair game to cost nerve and or energy to engage.
