TLDR: No energy should be expended when you join an attack and don’t have time to press an attack function before someone else has beat the opponent.
We’ve all been in this situation during wars. You join/initiate an attack, a split second has gone by, you don’t even get a chance to select an attack function and the opponent has been beat by someone else.
The game doesn’t always load quick enough for how many game members can potentially be focussing on a target.
My thought - If you don’t actually get time to press an attack function before they are beat why should this take energy, no physical energy has been expended.
Edit: To prevent misuse of the system if you have been in an attack for more than ‘1 second’ (or similar) you will be charged E. This system is more about when the game isn’t quick enough to realise another member is already in the attack and are sometimes making the final hit just as you press initiate - which happens ALOT when warring as many members come out of hosp with low E meaning it only takes one hit to finish them. You cannot hold a person from flying or using meds until you have made the first attack so this system cannot be abused.
Today I reached a goal I’ve been working towards for a long time in this game; Top 250 battle stats!!!!!! Since I made it into top 250 for networth (108b) years ago I decided to maintain a net worth at min 100b and spend all earnings on SEs to get the top 250 battle stats.
Strength 3,514,164,742
Defense 1,213,152,541
Speed 2,006,765,504
Dexterity 21,254,282,645
Total 27,988,365,432
(I actually jumped from #252 to #243 after using 4 parachutes today)
I’ve seen comments from Ched in the past regarding how each stock has a price range, which changes from time to time to prevent users knowing when it’s reached its true peak or trough over a period of time. He admitted that sometimes this system goes awry and he has to step in...
... I’d say it’s surely time to step in with MCS now?
Before you guess, yes I am invested in this stock (along with other failing stocks), but you can’t fight a faulty system. There are definitely a couple of other stocks that seem to have had the same thing happen, but it seems MCS is the most extreme case (currently, and at the time of writing it’s back on poor forecast).
IDEA: Remove stock market selling fee once a player has owned the stock for a week
Firstly, I’ve noticed a lot of hate on the forums for Stocks 3.0... I think it already seems great and far more realistic and balanced than the old system (I lost 28bill on MCS last year haha, the system was crap and shame it wasn’t fixed sooner, but time to rebuild I guess). New additions will always always have problems or things that weren’t accounted for, but Ched will iron those out overtime.
Anyway, I understand the reasoning for the selling fee of 0.1%, to prevent players using the market as an instant and protected access for their funds. It also prevents players making super quick cash as the minute by minute changes come in. However, I don’t see why players willing to not play the system and hold their stocks slightly longer should be penalised. Therefore, I think it would be good to remove the 0.1% selling fee after a player has held the stock for a week.

I’ve now hit skill 100 on all crimes, completed all uniques and obtained all current crime honors…
I’m sure a lot of people are in the same position, so interested to see which crime you’re now rinsing to try and make some money until the next crime is released? Looking at my total money gained from each crime I can’t say any of them have been particularly fruitful, but so far the aim hasn’t been money making.
I’m on 56/57 uniques through spamming this crime and constantly checking back everyday since I completed it months ago.
I have absolutely no idea which one I’m missing or whether I need to do/own something specific to get it?
Last week both of the security measures at Big Als were down - which is what I thought I’d been waiting for all this time - however there was no special to retrieve so I must already have that.
I read through that report and got a little confused by this exact slide you posted.
“Stock profits of up to $30billion per day is sustainable” …. I assume this cannot mean across the entire player base? That’s an unbelievably small number if so??? Equivalent of just 60ish players only using 1 SE a day?? It’s minuscule?
Regardless of what the numbers say I still can’t say I agree with the one sided argument they are pushing. Much of that stock money was used for bigger players to pump into SEs, mostly from The shop so the money is taken straight back out of the game but gives them (us) something to play for.
I also HATE the graph showing “new players using the stock market” - ofc more players will be using it as there are lots of new players joining the game - where’s the graph showing total number of stock trades, which will show a rapid decline and a now defunct part of the game
