A little about me..
I used to do some graphics work on Torn before I went inactive/semi-inactive. I was mostly active from the period of 2011 to 2013. I used to do some collab auctions with EmMortal (some of you may remember). I use Adobe Fireworks to create all my tags. Having a quick read through the forums I remember most of you! I see we have lost a few people like _Ms_ (her webinars!), BrOoKsY106, Two and more, as well as gained new artists!

So what is this thread about?
I am still currently semi-inactive but to get back into the flow of things (three years of rust), I'd like to attempt a couple of customs - though no promises! Simply just post a render below. If I like the render and decide to make a tag, I will mail you directly with the end result. [:smiley:]

I realise these examples are mostly female tags but be rest assured that I don't only make female tags! [:smiley:]

This happens when your browser is small enough to trigger the tablet layout view (responsive design) and then you press the "full website" button at the top.

To replicate:

- Make your browser window smaller so the website goes into tablet view.

- Click on the desktop/PC button at the top to change the view back to desktop.

Upon reading a book, you get a new icon at the top notifying you of how long you have left to read the book.

Bug #1
When clicking the book icon at the top it takes you to /item.php?temp=1 which is the drug cooldown page that tells you how long you have till your drug effect wears off.

Bug #2
If you go to settings > icon settings > refresh icons, the book icon will disappear. Right now I have read a book but have no icon for it because I refreshed my icons via settings page. I have no way of getting my icon back. In addition the book icon doesn't appear in the collection with all the other icons in settings so perhaps that is the reason it disappeared when I refreshed my icons.

Hi,

Davzz the server administrator wrote a blog post many many years ago giving us some insight into Torn's infrastructure. The post touches on some of the technologies and programming languages that power Torn. No doubt a lot has changed since then but a very interesting post nonetheless.

EDIT: Just to be clear, this post was made ~8 years ago. Most (if not all) of the infrastructure outlined here has changed. As mentioned, shared because it's interesting!

It's beautiful to come back to these galleries every now and again, a trip down memory lane.

Sad reality that since "respo" in 2014, the community hasn't been quite the same.

My deepest condolences. May he rest in peace.

Almost shed a tear. That music, the feels when going through the galleries. Nostalgia level 10,000.

I can confirm that I also managed to replicate this bug with the 18 EBBs I had in my inventory.

Its events and memories like this that will always make me smile. You are honestly one of the nicest people ever! I am really glad that I bumped into you a few times (designing Hamster 2013 graphics + our time in Evolution + many more).

Thank you for all your hard work, we all really do appreciate everything that you have done for Torn - you've done a phenomenal job. This game will not be the same without you and Hydro. You will be missed.

This is also an issue with medals when you visit someones profile. When typing on chat and using the arrow keys (left or right) it also controls the medals - they also move at the same time.
