Also a Vegas native here. Single deck is usually at smaller local casinos but I have found it on the strip (Excalibur) as I would imagine the torn casino would be a smaller casino I think it should be single deck.
You can still get burned even when counting cards though. Just gives you better odds. Speaking from experience.
I think one of the biggest factors not talked about is that the stock prices are going to be rising 10% per year. If we a assume a new player now is getting shafted by this system just imagine in 5 years with 10% compounding interest. My thoughts to fix this would be to lower the initial barrier of shares needed to receive the block. Then increase the factor by which it increases to the next level so instead of doubling every time maybe a multiplier of 2.5 or 2.2. Not mad about the change I just think it lacks foresight for the long term in that regard.
