I am a VERY casual torn player. Im not a subscriber because i probably log in less than once a week. On the other hand, torn's charm and greatness comes from the fact that forever, all players have had equal opportunities. donator/subscriber benefits have always been available to all players whether they are paying real money or not. It might save 24-27m in-game currency per month but thats about it and not a game-changer for most players.
The number one reason people donate is exactly that: to donate to this great game.
Suddenly with subscriber books, there are special items free players cant access with in-game currency that GREATLY benefit paying customers every couple months. There is no doubt some of these books are extremely OP in terms of gym gains, awareness, drug addiction etc that potentially creates a power imbalance which will only grow larger and larger over time between paying and free players. Although free players can access them through rare city finds/mission credits, so too can subscribers so the benefit to subscribing is still considerably large
Donating is no longer a donation. Its a purchase. I dont want to say whether its good or bad. Perhaps if you pay you deserve unique and powerful benefits for your contribution.
I just think this was a larger turning point in the history of torn than people realise. It is the first time paying players are getting access to pay-only that arent 'aesthetic' or a small convenience. They will create a gap over time which will only grow and grow like in many other multiplayer online games.
Not going to add a poll but would love to hear some discussion about it. Should books be nerfed? Should they stay? Become tradable?
Edit: changed some incorrect facts pointed out by spadeoneer, kingstown and escapedgoblin
Clansdancer was helping Hydr0 put on his Halloween hazmat suit when she accidentally tripped, kicked hydr0 in the face with her high heel (doing 6000 damage) and killed him . Clansy went into 'Bl0ndie's funeral services' the next day and although she didnt want to trust a blonde with her husband's funeral make-up, she decided to give her the benefit of the doubt.
"Please take him out of this ridiculous hazmat suit and dress him in some nice combat armor for his funeral."
"Not a problem clansy!" replied bl0ndie
The next day she returned and saw the deceased Hydr0 in some great high-stat combat armor.
"Where did you get such high-stat combat armor in such short notice?" asked Clansy
"well after you left, Kate arrived with her dead husband, Dexter, wearing some really high stat combat armor like you requested. Kate wanted Dexter's corpse to be buried in a hazmat suit so it wouldn't poison the soil considering all the drugs Dexter had taken while he was alive.
"Oh that was lucky!" said Clans
"Yeah" replied bl0ndie "...so i just switched their heads."
Hi i understand that in order to increase my bank loan limit, i have to sell stuff back to torn. What are the best items i can buy in bulk and sell back to torn at the smallest profit loss? Does anyone have any ideas? Preferably would like to increase bank loan limit to more than 100m thanks!

Hate to be that person but, we can get higher rating from multiple bazaars for around 18m. 65 flexi isnt worth much more than 15m in most people's bazaars so not sure why a forum post and inflated price tag is necessary. Put up in your bazaar for a fair price like everyonne else
Im not sure how many books there are but i'd assume there are enough to last a subscriber a couple years of receiving unique books.
One every couple months is far more than a non-subscriber will be able to get. So for a non-sub to read all the books and catch up might only be realistic over years.
Perhaps the 31-day benefits are less significant than i made out judging by your responses and my lack of research.
I still think its a significantly larger imbalance than has ever occurred between non-sub and sub players that im aware
