Here is my two cents, short and sweet.
To get rid of the way in which Duke speaks would only serve to pretend as if it doesn't exist. But it does, and therefore it needs to continue. We can't cherry pick parts of reality.
It is one of the reasons I started playing some time ago :p
I mean, a game with that kind of disclaimer HAS to be good. (And it is)
