I barely know what I'm doing but they are at least vaguely better quality than a ripped sig off google with some text thrown on it in paint o/

Yeah, we were good friends on Torn for a few years until we eventually met IRL, luckily we only lived a few hours away from each other so it wasn't a huge deal :P He moved in with me a few months later and never left. Got together in late '08, married in '14.
We both took about a 10 year break from Torn somewhere in the middle but back here playing the good old game of 'Do you remember this person?' now.
Bought Is0's, it was the easy choice for me, we were good friends back in the early days when he was still active...and it looks good alongside my brutus keychain, his cookie jar and my bags of cheetos
Started the game October 2005. Signed up when someone I knew from another game asked for referrals... took one look at torn(city) and went "yeah not for me."
Came back a few months later, bored out of my mind and thought I'd give it another try.
Joined IRC, made some good friends.
Signed up to become a staff member in 2007, worked my way through the ranks up to secretary before the year was out (yeah im an overachiever...)
In 2008 I decided to buy a bus ticket for Mrtowelhead who was then just a close friend I'd known for maybe 4 years at the time through Torn/IRC (ok maybe I was crushing on him hardcore...) to come to my city for my friends 21st party. He borrowed a pair of his brothers shoes for the trip and we met for the first time at the city bus port. Lucky, neither of us were axe murderers. By the end of that night I'm...relatively sure we were officially in a relationship... I don't think the actual words were ever stated though
We become "Torn Official" shortly after and have been married in game ever since <3
In early 2009 my life went to shit and I stepped down from staff duties... sometime not terribly long after I stopped playing, not to return again until early 2020 (pandemic life right?)
That said I retained my favorite thing (and person) from Torn and in 2014 myself and Mrtowelhead married IRL!
Just last October we celebrated our tenth RL wedding anniversary... right before sinking way too much time into torn for halloween.
It's not been the smoothest 19 years on this lil website but it gave me the most important person in my life and for that I'll always be grateful <3

Not going to say it wasn't mind numbingly boring waiting for targets to pop up so we could whack-a-mole and fight over the scraps but for my first extended rank war I've still managed to have fun for the most part. i'll give you guys credit for sticking to your guns...or passports.
