Okay, so I've been having a huge struggle with PayPal and their idea of security (in their opinion it is better to keep my credit card linked to my old account which I don't have access to and they are not willing to give me that access in any possible way, not even when providing my ID along the support request... So they just keep my current credit card linked to that account and say me that "get a new credit card").
For this reason, and to make it more simple and available for those who are not comfortable with PayPal; Google Wallet! At least I would hop on to the subscription reel if this payment option was to be added. As far as I know, they support the subscription thing and it is easy to use from the user's end too, when PayPal is a bit of a mess.
Hey, have you ever thought of adding "vacations" to Torn? As a veteran player I've been waiting for new activities to spend my time in. More about the idea:
Rent / buy a vacation house.
While on vacation, committing crimes, using gym and all that kind of stuff is locked off.
Happiness is increased for a certain amount of time after you return from the vacation (for a week or couple of days).
You can increase your hunting level by going on to the nearby forest and kick off your shooting skills, while also collecting animal skin & bone to sell after you return from the vacation.
Go out boating and fish (various fishing equipment and boats could be things that are being sold at the market?). Fishing would also profit player after he/she returns from the vacation.
Vacation would help you to get rid of addictions.
If on job, you would not earn money from the time on vacation. You would however remain effective worker.
This is what I've thought so far. Being able to hunt while on South-Africa is amazing, but there could be more to it, and more possibilities to make it an actual hobby, as is the car racing.

Sure it is a bit similar to travelling, but my point is that you could actually spend your in game dollars to buy an amazing cottage from the middle of nowhere, where you could perform these various activities.
For a player who already got to the Private Island, sure there are lots of ways to get your money spent, but I'm sure there are others like me who would just love to take the "next step" on properties and all.
I thought vacations as an alternative to travelling, but it would be more expensive (than regular flights at least) since you need to own/rent a place where you spend your vacation, and you would have to get the equipment to fish (boat, fishing pole...) or hunt (rifle, traps...). This way even these activities would become even more interactive, rather than just pressing "Hunt" while you're at South Africa.
In my opinion, people need these money sponges you mentioned. Basically everything in Torn is a money sponge and is used to unlock awards and acquire merits. :)
