When playing in Elimination, it doesn't take long for trolls and other counterproductive members to surface, such as ones who send horse heads in the mail, those who use stacked energy from donated xanax for gym training, and even players who hospitalize other people within their own team (without it being to complete a bounty, of course). These kinds of members cause problems for the rest of the group while facing little to no consequences themselves, as they are still able to be a member of the team and get tokens or merits for the rest of the team working hard.
I would like to suggest the ability to kick such members off of their teams so that those who come for the fun don't have their experience and time ruined by those who are so bored they have nothing better to do than screw with other active players.
If it would not be possible for the leaders of each team to have this ability, which is understandable, as leaders can be corrupt and choose to kick those who oppose them, rather than those who are truly doing harm, I would suggest a group of 30-40 or more who all have to select to kick a member before the request goes through. Hopefully with a group that large, it would be harder for one or two factions to overpower a team and abuse the kicking permissions.
Apart from the fact that these words have nothing to do with being male, they really lose their impact. Hired gun sounds like a street thug instead of a badass mysterious killer. As a female I am offended by the name change, I'm sick of making up or changing words for the three people who can't differentiate between the neutral use of the word man, as in human, and a masculine title that can't apply to women and take it personally. This is not being more inclusive to women, this is dumb.
I made it to Class B for racing about a week ago and haven't been able to get anything above a 5th place since. Usually in past classes it didn't take this long for me to be able to place in 3rd, where I can start earning points, but this time there have been races where I'm in last place with over a minute between me and the person that places one above me. I've tried using three different car but that hasn't seemed to help at all (Two Class B, and my Class C that I had been using and is better than my Class B cars in every way except the acceleration) and don't have any racing points to try and make them any better.
What else should I do to try and get my racing results higher? Please let me know if you have any suggestions.
I divorced after breaking up with my Torn spouse IRL. He was the one that got me into the game while we were already in a relationship, and we used marriage for the merits. Once I broke up with him, it didn't feel right to use his PI, even though he said I could, and I was worried about storing my money there in case he decided to withdraw it all. So to solve both of those issues, I left from there and earned enough to buy and upgrade my own PI and have been enjoying a life of secure luxury since then!
I also had a very short term marriage to get another merit, as we both needed it, but after that, I decided I'll be staying solo unless my bf decides to start playing. It just feels weird to be married to someone else in a game, even if there's so little to it.

People willing to lose it all for some pixel money get added to the target list! For real though, even six months is a long time to keep a façade like that up, and I can see how someone with so much interest in the game and a positive attitude can be welcomed when there are enough outwardly crappy people around already. He would have gotten so much more out of keeping that trust, as so many others said.
Elimination has probably become one of my favorite times of year on Torn over the past several years. So much so, that I started making our Discord server half a month early just so that I could do something to get ready for the competition. Though we may not have had a flawless run to first place, I still consider myself in a winning team. I'd rather come in 4th with a spectacular group like you all and have some amazing moments and experiences to take away than be first while dealing with drama and people that are hard to work with. (Though the merits would be nice too!)
It's been an absolute pleasure working beside you all and getting to know so many members of Torn through these weeks. A special thank you to a few people who I personally got to see in action through this time
Nightwing: I sure hope you can get some sleep now man, you've been going nonstop for a week and that has definitely kept us in the game as long as it can! I love the idea of them actually adding something as it would make it more rewarding to work for those items. Of course there's a concern about the wealthiest citizens gaining the most from it, being able to buy up everything that can benefit them, but that might allow for some additional movement of money within Torn as well.
I think that would be cool for newer or weaker players to take advantage of! Imagine being in elimination or a faction war and then getting a 2x boost to your stats or something ridiculous, allowing you to wreck the opposition, but with a chance of sending yourself to the hospital or anything else. It would make the positive results feel even better!
I was wondering why you placed a bounty on me. I don't believe I've ever attempted to attack you or do something to you, so I'm a little confused as to why. This isn't the first time has happened either, so I'm very confused.

Turns out they were placing and claiming the bounties for a merit and stats and being a new player whose faction was at war made me a good target.
