Welcome to the Broken Paradise RP Sign Ups Thread!
The world has bombarded itself with toxic nuclear explosives and you, the few remaining survivors, have made it through unscathed thanks to the S.I.S. protection and bunkers. You have now been released and are just moments away from exploring the new world before you!
This is being co-hosted by MitchNeon and myself. We are the Gamemasters and will therefore determine what happens within our world. This means no god-moding, but that doesn't mean you can't say you've walked a few feet without our permission. Just say your character "goes to do this" or "attempts to do that" and we'll tell you the outcome. The main RP thread will be posted sometime after a week, thanks for your patience.
Please follow the character sheet provided when creating a character and await character approval from either MitchNeon [2002519] or myself before jumping into the main rp thread. :)

I was half joking, but I am a good writer that Mitch knows, although I suspect he may be talking about himself. ;) Either way I'm happy to help with advice or otherwise. :D I am an online author after all. (Also shamelessly advertising)
An explosion rattled the room and about 20 Dennis clones ran in.
One launched a kick at the robot hacker's face, propelling it away from the computer. The upload stopped at 89% completion. More Dennis clones encircled it, blades at the ready.
The Dennis that had scorch marks over him who had pressed the button back at the Order outpost walked in, "Give up. We brought more electrodes and we've already breached that bunker you were seen leaving from. Supposedly we've found a dead man. It won't be long until we find the rest of you. He tossed a radio between his hands.
"Self-destruct, or risk the destruction of the rest of your bodies." He warned, giving the robot an ultimatum.
The Dennis that had set the trap swung down from above and studied the large metal door.
He pulled out his radio, "This DD-37, bring a breaching kit to my coordinates. I've located the target, escaped into a secure part of the compound through a steel door."
There was a pause, then, "Roger. Moving to your locations."
They filed into the military compound silently. The robot was in the area, somewhere, they just had to find it. They spread out, searching the facility.
It didn't take long, the steel metal work of it's body wasn't entirely stealthy when moving around and scraping could be heard from it's feet as it walked. A Dennis set a trap in front of the way it walked.
As it passed, a wire would speed across it's side, bisecting it. Then a rope trap would spring lifting one of the halves away to one of the military towers across the compound. By then, it should be made easier to destroy this robot.
"Termination successful." The Dennis with the radio reported.
There was a crackle of static and a reply with the same voice came through, "We've traced a wireless signal from the robot just before it blew. To a bunker near the destroyed city. Target?"
The Dennis called the others over before he spoke, "The robot. Limit the damage before it takes all our kills. Then close in on the bunker. We'll set up the contingency protocol on our side. He put the radio back in it's holster and started giving orders.
On the other side, a few Dennis clones started to run after the now departing robot after having been stationed near the broken city. They would catch up to it soon, with it being so heavy and the Dennis clones seeming to have almost as much stamina as the robot itself.
From the rubble, a Dennis stepped out of the covering of metallic skeletal bodies. It seemed the Dennis that had initially pressed the button had survived. He pulled out a walkie-talkie, "Commence contingency plan. Activate the electrodes."
Moments later several probes arced over to the robot from somewhere within the forest, attaching themselves inside the robot. They then emitted some kind of magnetic field. The robot was forced down to the ground, some nano-bots coming off it little by little. A couple of Dennis clones came out from the forest with strips of thick metal, which they then proceeded to wrap around the robot with their augmented strength.
Hopefully, the probes would stop it from transforming. Now, all they had to do was capture it if they couldn't destroy it. The reason they weren't caught in the magnetic field was due to the lack of metal in their frame. They still had bones, it was just reinforced with metal. There was therefore not enough to be attracted to the pull of the probes.
The Dennis flipped over the skeleton and landed running in pursuit.
Just as the robot went to escape, another Dennis appeared in the doorway, kicking it's legs from under it and then launching it back into the room swiftly.
The new Dennis walked in smugly, holding some kind of trigger for something, "All preparations are complete, including all contingency plans. Our work here is complete." He pressed the trigger and several cylinders stuck out from under the floorboards, rotating slowly and beeping. The other Dennis's gathered around the Dennis with the trigger, forming a sort of human turtle shell around him.
A second later, the cylinders exploded. From outside, the entire building seemed to implode, the pieces of the establishment sinking in for a moment, before scything outwards in all directions. All that was left after that was rubble and smoke.
A small explosion occurred in the room as the gas ignited. The Dennis' in front of the robot jumped back and the ones behind it were shielded slightly by the robot itself, which took the brunt of the force. It, of course, was not very damaged.
When the smoke cleared, at least one Dennis lay there, a charred metallic carcass.
On of the nearby Dennis's stood up and gazed at his fallen comrade. He then picked up the sword it no longer held, "Regroup and recommence attack pattern."
The Dennis' circled the killer robot, darting in with a sword strike every so often. It seemed to damage the robot little, but none of them seem to mind this fact as they all took turns jabbing into it's metal frame.
