Summary: Allow Torn users to vote for Torn City on 5 MMO websites daily in exchange for 5 points per a vote. Users would be rewarded up to 25 points a day, which could be used for a energy or nerve refill. (These points could be untradeable and only usable for personal refills)
Ched has been more involved in the game lately and for the sake of the survival and expansion of the game, we need new players. They will help the faction and territory system grow.
People search mmo websites for new games to play. That is how I originally found Torn City. Voting for a game on a MMO website can be done in 30 seconds and done once a day. There are enough Torn users we could have torn rated number one on multiple mmo websites. This would bring in new players, new subcribers, and new people to buy donator packs, which would help increase content for all of us.
I think users would spend the 5 mins to vote on 5 websites a day in exchange for 25 points or 10 websites a day for 50 points. I have heard a similar system did exist in the past and I think it would work a bringing in new players. If 25 points a day is too much. I would not be completely opposed to voting for 5 websites a week for a total of 25 points a week, but I think maximum effectiveness could be achieved through daily voting.
To address concerns over multi abuse: Implement clause that you need to be a certain level to vote (10 or 15), have certain days played (30) , or just using existing multi-detectors in place. Instead of unlocking 25 points after 5 votes you could unlock a refill. This refill would be untradeable. Worst case scenario a multi could use the refill to slut attacks.
Malware from these sites is a legitimate concern and Ched would have to use trusted partners.
I could care less about Karma. Don't worry about up-voting. I would rather 100 positive answers to survey.
